Y Schools Queensland - Senior Redlands Campus are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Wellbeing Case Worker on a Permanent Part-Time basis to support in our School based in Redlands.

What will my time look like?

 

  • Provision of individualised assessment and support services to individual students and/or their families, aimed at reducing barriers to education and building positive engagement
  • Facilitation of the delivery of comprehensive individual assessments and support planning for students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, in accordance with all school policies and procedures
  • Designing and delivering preventative and early intervention group programs
  • Assist in the formulation of Personal Education Plans with teaching staff and resourcing staff with strategies that appropriately combat cognitive, sensory and/or social/ emotional challenges
  • Impart up-to-date knowledge, skills and abilities to students accessing casework, enabling them to successfully participate and lead their own support pathways.

 

Am I a good match?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work or Behavioural Science or a related field, combined with demonstrated recent experience working with vulnerable young people
  • Ability to work within a team environment to provide individualised support and action plans for young people that enable them to overcome barriers, realise opportunities, and grow in academic and vocational capacity
  • Sound computer literacy and prior experience using a range of office software including Word, Excel
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • A current valid driver’s license
  • Currently possess, or be willing to obtain a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000
  • Achievement of YMCA’s Safeguarding Children Training Certificate and complete annual refresher training.
