YMCA Victoria Point is seeking an enthusiastic Learn to Swim Teacher on a Casual Basis to join our team located in Victoria Point

 

About the role

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Learn to Swim Teacher, qualified or willing to become qualified, to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children of varying ages and abilities, helping them develop water confidence, safety awareness, and stroke technique in a fun and supportive environment.

 

What will my time look like?

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons in line with program guidelines
  • Provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess swimmer progress, offering constructive feedback
  • Ensure all safety and supervision standards are maintained at all times

 

Am I a good match?

 

  • Passionate about teaching and working with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, encouraging, and able to motivate children
  • Relevant swim teaching qualifications (AUSTSWIM/Swim Australia or equivalent - or willingness to obtain)
  • Current CPR and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain
  • Flexibility to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
