YMCA Victoria Point a recruiting a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team on a full-time permanent basis. As the Maintenance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities.

 

What will my time look like?

 

  • Conduct routine maintenance and landscaping of the grounds including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting and mulching
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality administrative systems to manage routine tasks including equipment inspections
  • Perform regular stock takes of consumable items, first aid and cleaning supplies
  • Attend to minor building maintenance and equipment issues
  • Coordinate and work consultatively with other tradespersons
  • General maintenance of the pool area including temperatures, chemical levels and appropriate operating levels and cleanliness of water
  • Experience in pool plant maintenance, including water quality testing

 

Am I a good match?

 

  • Trade qualification and/or relevant experience in landscaping, general maintenance, or building repairs
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to upholding Workplace Health and Safety standards and compliance regulations
  • Currently possess or be willing to obtain a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
