Gymnastics Coach | YMCA Victoria Point

YMCA Victoria Point is seeking a qualified and experienced Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Instructor to join our team and deliver both our competitive boys' MAG program and recreational boys' gymnastics classes.

About the Role

As a MAG Instructor, you'll deliver high-quality gymnastics sessions across our competitive and recreational programs. You'll help young athletes develop their technique, strength and confidence while creating a positive learning environment that encourages progression, teamwork and a lifelong love of gymnastics.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging and progressive MAG sessions for recreational and competitive boys' gymnastics programs.
• Develop age-appropriate activities that support skill development and athlete progression.
• Set up gymnastics equipment safely and ensure classes commence on time.
• Check that all equipment and matting are correctly positioned to maintain a safe training environment.
• Monitor attendance and distribute relevant notices and communications to families.
• Follow safety procedures and complete incident reports when required.
• Identify and report potential hazards to minimise risks to participants and staff.
• Complete administrative duties as required.

Am I a Good Match?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated coach who is committed to developing young athletes and delivering quality gymnastics programs.

To be successful, you'll have:

• A recognised qualification in Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG).
• Experience coaching boys in recreational and/or competitive gymnastics.
• A passion for developing young athletes and helping them reach their potential.
• The ability to deliver engaging, progressive and age-appropriate sessions.
• Current Senior First Aid and CPR qualifications, or willingness to obtain.
• A current National Police Check issued within the last six months, or willingness to obtain one.
• A current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one.
