The Y Op Shops are seeking Volunteer Shop Assistants to join their friendly and committed teams located at Mango Hill and Strathpine on Brisbane's northside.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Volunteer Shop Assistants contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Op Shops and distribution and are an integral part of our success and ability to provide benevolence services to local communities.

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing excellent customer service, assisting with queries and sales
  • Cash handling and operating the register
  • Sorting and pricing donations
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe store

 

 

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate
will be passionate about helping their local community and contributing to positive change impacting those around them. They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a friendly and positive attitude and uphold the YMCA Core Values - Honesty, Care, Respect and Responsibility, including an accepting and welcoming attitude towards a diverse community.

 

  • Hold a volunteer or paid Positive Notice Blue
  • National Police Check
  • Right to work in Australia
