YMCA Queensland is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Regional Manager to join our Outside School Hours Care team. This role will oversee operations across approximately 35 services in a geographical area, while working collaboratively with respective Area Operations Managers and Service Coordinators to ensure optimum operational performance, overall high quality of service delivery to all stakeholders and management of regulatory compliance. The role is dynamic and is focused on assurance and supporting the team to do the best they can by our services.

What you’ll do
- Oversee the operations of a geographical portfolio of OSHC services with a focus on budgets, attendances, relationships with schools, workforce management, compliance management and optimisation of the service(s)
- Support a team of Area Operations Managers, in ensuring all services are compliant and children’s safety is a priority.
- Oversee Area Operations Managers and Service Coordinators to ensure they are aligned with legal obligations under the National Quality Standards and Education and Care National Regulations
- Strategic planning for expansion, improvement as well as feedback from stakeholders
- Develop, review and implementation of policies relating to OSHC including staff promotion, professional development, industry updates and framework changes
What you’ll bring
- Minimum Diploma in Children’s Services or actively studying a related ECEC or Teaching qualification
- Experience in managing and leading teams, particularly in a multi-site or regional capacity, with a focus on staff development, motivation, and performance management.
- Proven experience in overseeing daily operations of multiple services, ensuring consistency in service delivery and operational excellence
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Children’s Services Award, and other relevant regulations or standards within the OSHC sector
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as parents, local communities, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Experience in contributing to or driving regional strategy and long-term planning to improve service delivery and meet organizational goals.
- A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
- Familiarity with the National Quality Framework (preferred)
