The YMCA Schools’ Breakfast Program manages 179 schools in the SEQ region and a further over 230+ schools in other areas of the state. This role is specifically created to support the Grant Funding from an organisation who wishes to have funds managed by the YMCA Queensland for Schools’ Breakfast Program.

 

YMCA School Breakfast Program is recruiting a Breakfast Program Manager on a Permanent Full-Time basis to join our team located in Parkinson

 

As the Breakfast Program Manager, you will manage both the day-to-day operation and expansion of the Program, with a specific focus upon the establishment and ongoing management of key stakeholders such as School Leadership; Food Bank and other food harvesters; and funders and supporters.

 

What will my time look like?

 

  • The ongoing development, implementation, review and amendment of the Schools’ Breakfast Program strategic intent
  • Maintaining a strong connection between other Social Impact and YMCA of Brisbane programs, looking for opportunities for service integration
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with organisations such as Food Bank and other food harvest organisations to maximise the receipt of donated food to support the delivery of the program
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with corporate organisations to maximise the supply of sponsored “in kind” product
  • Working with the Group Manager to manage the philanthropic support received from the Clem Jones Group
  • Developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet grant target set in each annual budget
  • Creating recognition and inclusion strategies for program sponsors/support

 

 

Am I a good match?

 

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of food relief
  • Two years of experience within the not-for-profit sector
  • Knowledge of relevant government legislation related to food safety
  • Ability to work within the mission and values of the YMCA
  • Demonstrated staff supervision, training and development skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to grow a program / event
  • Experience and demonstrated capacity to fundraise and recruit sponsors/donors
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage, conflict, complaints and any difficult situations, which may arise
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial processes and budgets
  • Current Open Queensland Drivers Licence.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates or willingness to obtain
