What being an OSHC Educator Entails
OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children – such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.
As an OSHC Educator you will:

Your workspace at the Y
YMCA Dakabin Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is situated at Dakabin State Primary School licensed for 96 children and offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm.
Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children’s agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.
The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50 services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.
To be successful you must have:
- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
