Y Schools Queensland, like many others, are on the lookout for an individual who can handle the complex and multifaceted nature of school administration. School administrators juggle numerous tasks such as managing student records, coordinating schedules, handling communications with parents and staff, and overseeing daily operations. Being organized helps ensure that all these responsibilities are managed efficiently.
Y Schools Senior Ipswich Campus, are seeking a dedicated and dynamic School Administrator to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis, based at our campus in Ipswich, QLD.
About the role
As a School Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our vocational school, supporting both students and staff members. You will oversee administrative tasks, manage day-to-day operations from front desk and contribute to the overall success and growth of the school!
What will my time look like?
- Provide effective communication in the front desk operations between staff, parents, visitors and students.
- Handle administrative tasks such as student attendance record-keeping, incident reports, enrolments and departures
- Adhere to various regulations and standards. Administrators need to keep track of compliance requirements and prepare reports accurately and on time.
- From meetings to school events and extracurricular activities, administrators need to plan and execute a variety of events. Strong organisational skills ensure that these events run smoothly.
- Support the school's financial activities including petty cash, banking, processing payments and orders, receipting,, reconciling invoices for payment and follow-up on late payments
- Assist and train other staff and volunteers where needed
Am I a good match?
- Certificate III in Business or equivalent, coupled with experience in a similar role
- You can multitask, prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactively willing to use your initiate to complete tasks and work loads
- Monday to Friday, no weekends (Some events or occasional, not often)
- Cover Letter is required when applying
