We are now seeking a highly motivated Social Media and Content Coordinator on a full time basis at our office located in Fortitude Valley to build the organisation's digital footprint and online presence and assist with the development of the organisation's overall marketing, events and communication strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Working collaboratively and within a small team, the position will manage and execute The Y's content marketing and social media activities for all industry sectors.
The key responsibilities and initiatives will include but are not limited to:
- Developing and taking ownership of an effective social media and content strategy across all channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, to drive an organic lead generation;
- Creating, coordinating, proofing and editing content (e.g. websites, blog, video, posts) for online channels and social media platforms and identifying suitable content for each;
- Measuring and reporting on engagement across social media channels in order to generate consistently compelling content to drive audience engagement and growth;
- Planning and storyboarding regular video content in line with our overall marketing strategy including educational videos;
- Creating effective and compelling digital advertising campaigns to deliver lead generation opportunities for our business units;
- Conducting training and workshops for key staff on best practice for Social Media success.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing an effective social media strategy for audience engagement and growth;
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or related discipline;
- Proven ability to create compelling content and visual campaigns using social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube;
- A storyteller by nature and able to deliver innovative content with skills in copywriting, photography and videography including post-production photo and video editing;
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and strong attention to detail;
- Proficient with various software suites, photo and video editing applications and scheduling platforms including Mailchimp, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, MS Office, Canva, Indesign, Photoshop and Hootsuite;
- Previous experience in a not-for-profit environment is highly regarded.
Remuneration
$75,000 - $80,000
