We are currently recruiting for a Regional Lead, Community Housing and Community Centres on a Permanent Full Time basis.

 

About the Role

The purpose of the YMCA Community Centre’s is to deliver the funded Community Support Program that will undertake community development activities, provide individual support, initiate or participate in community events and work with the community to develop useful resources and tools.

This position coordinates all aspects of the day-to-day operations including compliance with the requirements of the Department of Communities Management Agreement and applicable Laws and Regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the community housing practice framework and service delivery model for a regional portfolio that may include established community Centres, emerging Centres, school based services and community housing linked operations.
  • Maintain a regular presence across sites to provide visible leadership, mentoring and operational support.
  • Oversee site establishment, service transitions and operational readiness for new or developing locations.
  • Manage escalated operational issues, complaints, incidents and service risks in accordance with policy and good practice.
  • Ensure consistent regional systems for reporting, quality assurance, records, asset stewardship and service review.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant housing and tenancy requirements, including RTA and other regulatory or contractual obligations applicable to the service mix.
  • Support tenancy and housing related practices across the regional portfolio, including coordination with internal stakeholders and external providers where required.
  • Provide input into the development of annual budgets and monitor income/expenditure against targets.
  • Manage the submission and acquittal of funding and grant applications (capital and recurrent) to enhance service provision.

 

 

About You

  • Hold a Diploma in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field, paired with significant leadership experience in community engagement or human services in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated skills in community engagement processes and the ability to build capacity within diverse communities.
  • Excellent negotiation, liaison, and communication skills, including the ability to report program outcomes to funding bodies
  • Current Open Queensland Driver Licence and willingness to drive to various regional locations.
  • Current National Police Check and Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
