ABOUT THE TEAM 


The YMCA Administration Office, located on 107 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, supports our centres across Brisbane and Queensland through a number of services, including Finance, Accounts, Work, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Marketing. 


As the YMCA is a vibrant and growing community organisation, we are seeking to expand our Information Communications Technology Department to support our growth. 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are expanding our IT Support team by recruiting three permanent full-time Regional ICT Support Officer positions. These are newly created positions, to provide IT support to our growing organisation. 


In this role, you will support the delivery of high quality and responsive ICT services and infrastructure through the provision of proactive, timely, personable and effective end user support. The Regional ICT Support Officer works accross a designated geographic area, visiting various YMCA serivices and centres to support ICT requirements in conjunction with the ICT support team.

 

The incumbent must exhibit appropriate role model behaviours consistent with the YMCA mission and values.   

 

Key Responsibilities 

Reporting to the ICT Operations Team Leader, your responsibilities will include and are not limited to: 

  1.  Support the IT Service Desk, ensuring that all incidents and requests for support are logged and dealt with in a timely and effective manner, including the prioritisation and escalation of tasks as appropriate within your regional area;
  2.  Provision of technical troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems using analytical and investigative techniques;
  3. Supporting and contributing to the delivery of ICT infrastructure and services projects;
  4. Onsite work, as directed, for maintenance of infrastructure and to support delivery of project work, including hardware rollouts and new Centre installations.

 

Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this position, you will be required to meet the following selection criteria:

1. Formal qualifications in IT at minimum Certificate III level, coupled with at least two (2) years relevant experience in an IT Helpdesk/Support role and with demonstrated experience working with:

 

  •  Microsoft Server, Desktop and Cloud products,
  •  Active Directory Administration,
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration,
  • Network equipment maintenance including wireless  and wired, switching and routing,
  • Microsoft Sharepoint Site and User Administration,
  • Airwatch MDM, or similar,
  • TeamViewer Remote Assistance.
     

2.    Microsoft Certification highly desirable;
3.    Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships and proven commitment to delivering and                   improving the customer service experience;
4.    Demonstrated results orientation, sound judgement and problem solving ability;
5.    Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities;
6.    High level of written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with                 diverse groups;
7.    Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team;
8.    Capable of operating effectively in a high pressure environment;
9.    Ability to handle, in a professional manner, queries, complaints and any difficult situations which may arise;
10.  Willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by business requirements;
11.  Maintain contemporary skills and product knowledge relevant to the provision of YMCA ICT services and                 infrastructure;
12.  Current Open Driver’s Licence;
13.  Private, reliable motor vehicle suitable for travel between YMCA locations with cargo area for ICT equipment. 
 

You will require your own car in the performance of your duties.  A travel allowance wil be part of the overall remuneration package.
