Y Queensland Head Office are recruiting for a front office Receptionist on a Permanent Full-Time basis to join our team located in Fortitude Valley.

 

As a receptionist here at Y Queensland, you will provide customer service to our internal and external customers, including general administrative support across the various services and business units of the two entities, being Y Queensland which includes the following portfolio’s, marketing, human resources, finance and accounting and IT as well as Y-Care.

 

What will my time look like?

  • Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), arranging correspondence and general administration, maintaining records accurately
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail and e-mail for the generic team email accounts
  • Printing, scanning, uploading and filing of documents
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders provide information and advice in line with Y Queensland policies
  • Assist to set up and pack down events, including ordering and preparation of food
  • Answer and direct telephone calls and attend to and follow up on staff, and visitor enquires in a timely manner
  • Maintain computer files and undertake systematic database backup procedures as requested
  • Ensure all staff, volunteers and visitors sign in and out as they arrive and leave the site

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Perform a range of administrative duties with the ability to prioritize competing work tasks
  • Ability to enter data accurately into systems and files
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • High level of emotional resilience.
  • Basic level of competence in the use of computers and application software packages including Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience working in or knowledge of the not-for-profit.
  • First Aid and CPR qualification or willingness to obtain
  • Obtain a national criminal history check
