Y Queensland are recruiting a Property Construction Project Manager on a Permanent, Full-Time basis to join our team based in Fortitude Valley

 

As the Property Construction Project Manager with the Y Queensland, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for managing lease arrangements for Y Schools Queensland and scheduled maintenance and management of day-to-day property-related matters across Y Schools Queensland.  

 

What will my time look like?

  • Lease Management (Y Schools Qld acting as lessor and lessee) including tracking of key dates, rent reviews, monitoring outgoing and maintenance requests;
  • Management of the Y Schools Queensland property maintenance team – scheduling, tracking and reporting of their time.
  • Seeking quotes for work, cyclical maintenance and capital maintenance;
  • Administration (lease tracking, vetting supplier invoices, asset maintenance tracking, insurance claims, register of fleet vehicles);
  • Assisting with tendering for sites/projects/capital funding including researching demographic data, tracking trends;
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Y Schools Qld managers and staff, external consultants, contractors and trades regarding maintenance and capital work.
  • Promoting and supporting the core values of the Y Qld.
  • Other administrative support duties, including responding to enquiries and requests via email, reporting functions, document control and general support to the Executive as requested.

 

 

Am I a good match?

  • Project Management, dip/cert level property management, any tertiary qual
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the property sector (Commercial Property Management, Real Estate, Construction, Project Management, Facility Management or other related disciplines)
  • High level oral and written communication, including the ability to prepare and present correspondence, reports and submissions of a complex nature, producing action plans and minutes
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in utilising IT systems, applications and software
  • Satisfactory Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and satisfactory National Police Check
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated high level of skills in liaising and networking with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
