The Y Queensland is now seeking two dynamic and experienced Business Services Regional Team Leads – in these pivotal roles, you will provide crucial support to multiple YMCA Vocational School locations. One Team Lead will be responsible for Moreton Bay, Bundaberg and Redlands, while the other will oversee Ipswich and Brisbane South, with both positions including travel between their respective sites.

 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

You will each oversee school administrator staff line management, professional development, coaching, training and site cover, while also playing a key role in ensuring compliance, government submissions, workplace health and safety (WH&S) compliance, school finance management, document control, records management and systems support.

 

  • Lead and manage school administrators in line with human resource management practices, including recruitment, performance management and professional development
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff, while also supervising and coordinating professional development initiatives to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Conduct compliance audits, assist with government submissions, and ensure adherence to WH&S regulations
  • Manage school finance, including budgeting, financial reporting and expense control
  • Establish and maintain efficient document control and records management systems
  • Provide technical support for systems used within the organisation, facilitating smooth operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support whole-school projects, including process improvements and system implementations
  • Generate reports and provide insights to the Business Services Manager to drive decision-making

 

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

 

We are seeking individuals who are extremely organised, with high-level administration and project administration experience. The ideal candidates will have a passion for supporting young people's learning and development and will thrive in a varied and exciting role.

 

  • Minimum education level of a Diploma of Business or equivalent and/or extensive experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in staff management and team leadership
  • Strong knowledge of risk and compliance regulations
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in document control and records management
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with systems support
  • Willingness to travel between YMCA Vocational School locations
  • Positive Notice Blue Card and current Police Check
  • Open Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle (mileage to be reimbursed)

 

 

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

 

A salary commensurate with experience and qualifications will be offered to the successful candidate, plus the ability to salary package (up to $15,900pa).
