About the role
We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Boondall Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

What you’ll do
- Support the daily running of the service
- Assist with child-led, play-based programming
- Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs
- Maintain compliance and support administration processes
- Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community
What you’ll bring
- A Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards)
- Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
- Familiarity with the National Quality Framework
