YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services care for children before school, after school and during holidays across 50+ school sites throughout South East Queensland. We are the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Coordinator on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week to join our team at YMCA Arundel Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.

In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and the management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of your fellow Coordinators, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

As an OSHC Coordinator you will assist with: 

 

  • The development of quality programs
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the programs
  • Coordinate staffing and rostering
  • Ensure compliance with policy
  • Undertake administrative requirements
  • Work collaboratively with families and the school community

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

 

  • Completed (or close to completing) a relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (minimum - Diploma of Children’s Services)
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications, or the willingness to obtain them
  • A current Blue Card, or the willingness to obtain one
  • National Quality Framework knowledge would be advantageous
