Early Childhood Educator - Acacia Ridge

We are currently recruiting for an Early Childhood Educator to join our team at YMCA Acacia Ridge Early Learning Centre on a casual basis.

About the service

The outdoor play area and ‘musical sandpit’ are the perfect setting for children to explore and create their very own musical masterpiece. Our educators provide endless opportunities for children to explore their sense of sound, art, music and other fun and interactive experiences. Through our partnership with YMCA Gymnastics, we provide children with regular KinderGym lessons - an easy class to let kids unleash their imagination and learn simple gymnastics skills.

About the role

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be a catalyst for children's growth and development. You will have the opportunity to create an exciting and nurturing environment where every moment is a chance for discovery. Your days will be filled with laughter, exploration and hands-on learning activities that engage the whole child – their body, mind, and spirit.

What would my day look like?

• Foster an environment of respect, trust, and open communication for both children (infants up to five years of age) and their families
• Assist in implementing play-based learning activities that promote creativity, critical thinking, and social skills
• Assist in implementing interactive experiences that cater to children's diverse interests and learning styles
• Assist in group activities that encourage physical development, imaginative play and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with fellow Educators to create a cohesive and enriching learning environment
• Keep accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
