About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Director to join our YMCA Acacia Ridge Early Education Centre on a permanent full time basis. As the Assistant Director, you will support the Director in the overall leadership and management of the centre. You will leverage your experience to support the development of the team to provide high-quality education and care.

What you’ll do
- Assist the Director in guiding the day-to-day operations of the centre
- Support staff in developing and implementing individualised programs
- Support the development and implementation of effective procedures to meet each child’s needs, having regard to the seven National Quality Framework elements
- Maintain compliance and support administration processes
- Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community
What you’ll bring
- A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) or Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
